Objective
The primary objective of Art I classes at South High is simple, basic,
and relates to all students:

TO USE ART AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPING TWO LIFE SKILLS –
ORGANIZATION & THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW A SET OF WRITTEN
INSTRUCTIONS.

Overview
The students will be introduced to various art-making techniques and
will explore various media to build a strong foundation of artistic
experience.  They will use the knowledge and skills learned in class,
along with their own creativity, to produce artwork that meets project
requirements.  Students will also learn to critique their work and the
work of other artists.  The projects and assignments will be
